Leaving a relationship
Leaving a relationship is a massive decision and we can find ourselves going round in circles in our heads for a long time before we decide to make this our reality. If you have a family, the decision can feel tied up with a lot of guilt and you might be seeing a very bleak path ahead of you in your mind's eye.
I help you deeply explore your decision, understand it from a higher perspective and help you get past your fears. We might model how you could have the difficult conversations and break down the steps to move forward. By working with me, you will find heart-centred ways to end the relationship with integrity, courage, dignity and strength.
Finding passion and purpose in your professional life
You might be feeling bored or stuck in your current job. The days may be painful at work and you just don't know if you should stay or go, what you could do instead and how you could make a change. You may lack the confidence to move after being in a job a long time.
If this is you, we will work together to really get to know your values, strengths and preferences, so that you can start tuning into what makes your heart sing in a job. We'll tap into your subconscious mind to explore deeply where your future lies and we'll start setting small, consistent goals to make a big change more manageable and comfortable. We'll also work on your confidence so that you can put your best foot forward and smash those interviews or step into self-employment feeling fully resourced.
Creating stronger boundaries
When we feel taken advantage of, when we find ourselves saying 'yes' instead of 'no', our work day is consistently longer than it should be or our time is focused on others with little time for ourselves, we have weak personal boundaries. This can leave us feeling resentful, exhausted and disempowered.
I work with you to define where you need stronger boundaries, with whom and specifically what that means. We practice setting those boundaries and may rehearse difficult conversations to get you comfortable with doing so. We work on getting you into your strongest, most empowered you so that you can step into a place of balance, assertivness and self-respect.
Managing family life
We can often feel like we are losing ourselves when we have a family and despite loving our kids and partner, life can feel like a constant treadmill between work and home, leaving not much time to actually stop and 'smell the roses'. You might be feeling fed up and find yourself wondering if there's more to life, then guilty and ashamed afterwards for even having that thought!
When working with me, we will look at what your needs are, how you can meet them and why it's important that you do. We will explore any tendencies towards being 'the perfect parent' and how these can be reframed so that you can relax and enjoy being a keystone in your family, leaving the guilt behind and tapping into that sense of fun you had in your younger days!
Overcoming Imposter Syndrome
You may be experiencing Imposter Syndrome, which is causing you to feel anxious a lot of the time , constantly worrying that you are going to put a foot wrong. As I remember very well, this is exhausting and draining and stops you being in your 'flow'. Even people in highly responsible positions can experience Imposter Syndrome and it's really common.
We will look at your beliefs about work and how you show up, tap into your strengths and explore the situations you find particularly challenging. We may role-play situations. These approaches mean you get to proactively work on feeling more comfortable and confident at work and practice the changes you need to make to show up as your most Capable and Empowered Self!
Overcoming Anxiety
You may be someone who is 'tuned in' to anxious thoughts and you find it hard to manage these. Anxiety can feel very restrictive and in my experience, the fear of experiencing Anxiety can often feel even worse. We might feel anxious that we will have a panic attack when going into certain situations, for example, out socially, attending meetings at work or going to a hospital appointment.
When working with me, you will find a different perspective on Anxiety and will have tools and concepts that you can use to shift your focus away from Anxiety, feeling more calm and in control. We will use meta-cognition, energy psychology techniques and thought re-structuring so that you will understand what is going on in your brain and find new ways to manage Anxiety. You feel more relaxed about experiencing Anxiety in the first place and it will become less and less of an issue.
A clear vision of your ideal future so that you know exactly what you are working towards. We will also get clear about your motivation to sustain you through your journey of change.
You will be fully tapped into your strengths, qualities and super-powers so that you can step into challenging situations with a sense of empowerment and confidence.
You will have more objectivity to coolly evaluate the different pathways available to you, so that your decisions will be fully informed. You'll also feel strongly connected to your own Inner Wisdom so that you can know what is absolutely right for you at the deepest level.
Awareness of your thoughts & beliefs and know how to better manage these so you can move through particularly difficult emotions without getting stuck in them.
Tools to manage your emotional wellbeing so that you can ensure you're achieving balance in your life and therefore feel more equipped to deal with life's challenges as and when they come along.
Exercises and practices that help you stay present and calm, rather than thinking about the past or worrying about the future, meaning you can stop ruminating and enjoy the good things about life right now.
You will receive educational models, concepts and videos that will help you understand how you are showing up in different relationships and situations. We will explore how you could respond in more empowered and helpful ways.
To make the change feel manageable and as comfortable as possible, we will set small, consistent goals to maintain momentum and your confidence in achieving your change, and celebrate your successes along the way!
